TL DR: Have the Mamaroo for my 3-month old, and we love it so far! The seat is really easy to remove and machine wash, which I discovered when she had a leaky diaper yesterday.

Our Mamaroo stays in our TV room, and I love slipping my daughter into it once she's sound asleep in my arms. No matter what kind of swing you get, there's always a slight chance your baby won't want to use it. So, while it may not be a foolproof philosophy, I think it creates an ideal environment to help your baby like a swing as much as possible. When my baby isn't in the mood to be set down, it doesn't matter what type of swing or chair you give her. Otherwise I think it becomes a negative association thing after a while. Calm the baby down first, and then put them in the swing. Some of the bad reviews I've personally read are essentially, "My baby hated it, so we never used it." While I'm sure this is possible in some cases, I heard a good tip before my daughter was born: Don't put an upset baby in a swing or chair. But I don't really have any other swings to compare it to, since this is our first baby and our first swing. The different motions are great, and I love how easy it is to adjust the incline.

I love the way it's built, and compact size is super convenient. My husband is a tech nerd, so the instant he saw the Mamaroo, all other baby swings immediately got deleted from our registry. Also it sounds like finding one used, getting as a gift, or buying it within a window for returns is the smartest way to go about it. So, if you had one, did you think it was worth the price?Įven if you got it as a gift, in hindsight would you have bought one yourself?Įdit: Thank you everyone for your excellent stories and advice! It seems like the mamaroo is somewhat of a gamble, your baby might like it, and then it's a glorious contraption, or it might not like it and becomes an expensive floor sculpture. But some reviewers online seem like its one of the greatest things ever. It seems so expensive and baby might not like it, or use it for very long. I'm still on the fence about this Mamaroo thing. We don't have a lot of space in our house and can't fit a swing, so we'll probably get a bouncer because they take up so little space. For those of you who don't know what it is. Hey ladies and gents! Predad here, I'm looking for people's opinion of the Mamaroo.
